Edward "Eddie" Reed Champion, age 65 of Selma, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

He was born on April 20, 1959 to Loyd and Bettye Champion.

Eddie worked in the tire and auto industry for most of his career, and recently retired from Bush Hog. He was also a gifted musician who played in church and with various musical groups over the years.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Champion; children, Crystal (Josh) Daniels and Eric (Courtney) Champion; grandchildren, Clara Champion and Leo Champion; mother, Bettye Champion; sister, Diane Champion; and nephew, Mark (Tammy) Champion and niece, Stormy Champion.

He is preceded in death by his father, Loyd Champion; brothers, Mike Champion and David Champion.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Robert Bayne officiating.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Selma Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations can be made to Wannabe Rescued in Selma.
