Edward Dennis Blackmon, age 76, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away June 3, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Dempsey and Ola Blackmon; brother, Cecil Blackmon and sister, Kitty McCullough.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Poe Blackmon; son, Roger (Melissa) Blackmon; brothers, Dempsey (Patricia) Blackmon, Albert (Charlotte) Blackmon, Hester Blackmon, Ralph (Bobbie) Blackmon, Steve (Janice) Blackmon, Danny (Anne) Blackmon and Victor (Bonnie) Blackmon; sister, Juanita (Tim) Kaldor, and grandchildren, Julie Maria (Jason) Ford, Connor Blackmon, Jarrod Blackmon, Sophia Blackmon and Charles Buffkin.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alan Yarbrough officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Roger Blackmon, Connor Blackmon, Jarrod Blackmon, Robert Blackmon, Kelton Leak, and Jimmy Johnson
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Crosspoint Church, 1710 W. Dallas Ave., Selma, AL, 36701 or The Gideons International, P. O. Box 212, Selma, AL 36702.
