Edwin Swindle

Edwin Swindle, age 77, of Selma, AL, passed away January 24, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Veinna Swindle; brother, James Kenneth Swindle; sister, Ila Mae Aultman and grandson, Michael Chad Bryant. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Carolyn Joyce Parr Swindle; children, Edwin Dean (Ann) Swindle, Terry Lynn (Bruce) Chisenhall and Connie G. (Tommy) Love; brothers, William Edison (Betty) Swindle and T. W. "Billy" (Marie) Swindle; sisters, Lila Jean Aultman and Lorene (Henry) Hill; grandchildren, Toby Dean (Kimberly) Swindle, Stephanie Ann (Blake) Cody, Zachary Lynn Taylor and Clifton Tyler Love; great-grandchildren, Ethan Robinson and Anna Claire Cody, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Barrett Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Deborah E. Born officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Michael Wayne Clark, Kenneth Earl Clark, Anthony Kevin Parr, Toby Dean Swindle, Eric Matthew Parr and Clifton Tyler Love. Honorary pallbearer will be Zachary Lynn Taylor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Barrett Road United Methodist Church, 615 Barrett Road, Selma, AL, 36701 or to a favorite charity.
