Elbert Ray Spears born a miracle baby weighing just 2 pounds on 6 July 1937, slipped the bounds of his earthly home in his sleep on 14 July 2015 to go home to his heavenly father. His was preceded in death by his father Howard, mother Leona, brothers Dave, James, and Lynn.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Helen of Selma, Al, daughter Lynn(James) of Bulls Gap, Tn, sons Bobby(Patricia) of Valley Grande, Al, Floyd of Portsmouth, Va, sisters Betty Price of Nashville, Tn, Mary Trawick of Columbus, Ga, brothers Hugh and Doug of Church Hill, Tn. Grandchildren Jennifer, Brandi, Shayne, Michelle, and Jordan. Great Grandchildren Whitt, Mary Calyn, Hannah, Meredith, and yet to be born Nolan.
Visitation will be held Friday 17 July from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Funeral will be Saturday 18 July at 11am at Lawrence funeral home Selma, Al. Interment will be at Pineview Memory Gardens Cemetery Valley Grande, Al
