Elizabeth Gibbs

Elizabeth J. Gibbs passed away February 2, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born September 11, 1933 to the late Tilden Henderson Jackson, Sr. and Lucille Vivian Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hager Leroy Gibbs, Sr.; son, Hager Leroy Gibbs, Jr. and brother, Tilden H. Jackson, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Miriam Gibbs; granddaughter, Jerrilyn (Blake) Crowe; grandson, Jeremy (Leslie) Gibbs; great-grandchildren, Jackson Crowe, Caden Gibbs and Brayden Gibbs; step-mother, Isabella Jackson; brother, Jesse (Shirley) Jackson; sister, Carolyn Gilie and Mary (David) Wolfe; brother-in-law, Norman (Martha) Gibbs and special friend, Marie Williams and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
