Ella Rhodes

Ella P. Rhodes, age 86, of Gallion, AL, passed away March 31, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Phillips and Nora Jones, husbands, Thomas C. Waits (1981) and Samuel O. Rhodes (2006). She is survived by her daughters, Margaret A. Keahey of Jemison and Carrie Jo (Jimmy) Parker of Ramer; brothers, Eddie (Earlene) Phillips of Demopolis and Thomas H. Phillips of Fairhope; sisters, Beatrice Shaw of Minot, North Dakota, Cecil Joyner of Gallion, and Louise Ford of Gallion; Ten Grandchildren; Nineteen Great Grandchildren and Three Great-Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with Paul Whitcomb and Rev. Warren Huggins officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Justin Ford, Jerry Scott, Terry Hodo, Randy Ford, Dale Tanner, Tony Hodo, and Zachary Ford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sterling Lowe, Bill McCain, Buddy Lawrence, Sug Barnes, Ross Fitzhugh, Arthur Dixon, Tommy Vick, Henry Parker, Lynn Collins, Tim Parker, Huey Cassity, David Duke, Dalton Lowe, Ollie Daw, and the Progressive Sunday School Class. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Baptist Children's Home.
