Elva Watts Hubbard, 86, of Sardis passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020. Mrs. Hubbard is preceded in death by her parents, John Stuart Watts and Mary Elva Turk Watts; husband, Charles Caswell Hubbard; son-in-law, Michael Elwyn Giles, along with beloved grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Charles Hubbard Giles; granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Giles Switzer (Nicholas); great grandchildren, Danielle Lalone, Scott Lalone, Mary Frances Switzer, and Mac Switzer; cousin, William Harrell Watts, Jr (Cheryl) and family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice nurses and her caregivers, Sallie Howard and Colleen Craig.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Gardner officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Scott Lalone, Andy Tipton, Wil Tipton, Wes Tipton, Billy Watts, Johnny Watts,Fielding Watts, and Tres Wilkinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Browning, Dee Campbell, Jim Harris, Tim Henderson, Ken Schroeder, Steen Traylor, Joe Wood, and Thad Wood.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 5441 Alabama Highway 41, Sardis AL 36775.
