Emmett Hicks

Emmett Hicks, age 86, of Selma, AL, passed away October 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Hicks; daughter, Charlotte Hicks Dunkin and brothers, Mabin Hicks and Mitford Hicks. He is survived by his sons, Emmett Ted (Patsy) Hicks and Carl (Nancy) Hicks; daughter, Susan H. Armor; brother, Kirvin Hicks; grandchildren, Scott (Milli) Dunkin, Jeff (Denise) Dunkin, Heather Martin, Ben Hicks, Ashley Horn, Melissa Hicks, Rebecca Hicks, Mary Beth Armor, Bobby (Lindsey) Cameron, Lindsay Cameron and Whitney Cameron; great-grandchildren, Reagan Dunkin, Evan Dunkin, Kallie Martin, Dylan Dunkin, Murphy Dunkin, Isabella Martin, Jack Dunkin, Cooper Martin, Kieran Armor and Ashlyn Horn. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. There will also be a visitation Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brian Gregory, Scott Dunkin, Jeff Dunkin, Ben Hicks, Ken Smith, Andrew DeRamus, Michael Gregory and Sidney DeRamus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Northside Baptist Church, 2950 Citizens Pkwy., Selma, AL 36701.
