Emmett Clifton "E.C." Pitts, age 87, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away March 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoy Charles and Ina Gertrude Pitts; son, David Allen Pitts; sister, Melba Addie Pitts; brothers, Clarence Thomas Pitts, Elam Lawrence Pitts and Wilson Holley Pitts. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann Cochran Pitts; children, Emmett (Chrissy) Pitts, and Patricia Pitts; daughter-in-law, Donna Pitts; brothers, Allen Pitts, Floyd Pitts, Jamie Pitts and Bryant Pitts; sister, Betty Bailey; sister-in-law, Ruby Pugh; grandchildren, Clifton (Lindsey) Pitts, Sylvia Pitts, Allen (Lauren) Pitts and Will Pitts; great-grandchildren, Emmett Pitts and Emmah Pitts, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Clarke Skelton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Will Pitts, Will Pitts, Clifton Pitts, Allen Pitts, Douglas Pitts and Marc Ivey.
