Emmett Hewston Wilkinson, age 53, of Tallassee, AL, passed away April 29, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Wilkinson and Mr. and Mrs. Emmett A. Hewston. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Terri Fletcher Wilkinson; parents, James "Whet" and Joyce Wilkinson; sons, Fletcher Emmett Hewston Wilkinson and Ethan Andrew Wilkinson; daughter, Hannah (Cecil Matthew) Johnson; brother, Stan Wilkinson; sister, Melissia Wilkinson (Keith) Vancil; grandchildren, Cecil Cruise Johnson and Emmett Max Johnson; mother-in-law, Betty Henderson Fletcher; father-in-law, Max D. Fletcher; brother-in-law, Keith D. (Kristy) Fletcher; three aunts; one uncle; three nieces and five nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Carlowville Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Carlowville Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Thomas Guyton, Gene Combest, Jody Pilcher, John Barnes, Henry Harris, Doug Smith, Charles Casey, Roy Bush, Merrill Ingram, Harry Ponder, Keith Vancil and Keith Fletcher. The family will accept green plants or flowers or memorial donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 700 Interstate Park Drive, Montgomery, AL 36109-5410 or UAB Cancer Research, 1802 6th Avenue, South, Birmingham, AL 35294.
