Esther Jones

Esther Harris Jones, age 71, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away July 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Jessie E. and Ruby B. Harris and sister, Edna E. Harris. She is survived by her husband, Mac Jones; children, Jesse James Crowe, Frank Thurston Crowe, Danny (Andrea) Jones and Nita (Glynn) Odom; brother, Horace Lee (Sylvia) Payton; sisters, Paulette (Jack) Robertson, Nell (Wendell) Parnell and Katie (Larry) Wilkins; aunt, Mavis Brand; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Thrash, Ted Thrash, Troy Wilkins, Toby Wilkins, David Robertson and Edward Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Jones, Don Belcher, Wayne Downs, Norman Copeland and the deacons of Northside Baptist Church.
