Ethel Taylor Hayes Davenport, age 88, of Maplesville passed away on November 1, 2010.
She was born in Heiberger, Al. The daughter of Jesse Clay and Lucy Lawson Taylor, She was the youngest and the last of 11 children, 5 brothers and 5 sisters.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Hayes and Proctor Davenport, and her son Ricky Hayes.
Mrs. Davenport is survived by her daughter; Patty (Daniel) Smitherman of Maplesville, grandson; James (Dawn) Smitherman of Maplesville, granddaughters; Renee (Tony) Reynolds of Lawley and Beverly (Wayne) Lockhart of Plantersville, three great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #2. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church #2 cemetery with Rev, Tony Reynolds and Rev. Lynn Roe officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, November 3 from 6-8 p.m.
