Eva Booker

July 5, 1927 — September 5, 2015

Eva Jo (JoMama) Drinkard Booker passed away at her home Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was born July 15, 1927 to A.E. and Jesse Drinkard in Edna, Alabama. She married George William Booker and they made their home in Selma, Alabama. She was employed by United Methodist Children's Home in Selma for over 43 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and daughters, Jackie Booker and Faye Booker Kelly.

She is survived by her son, Terry and his wife Jule, three granddaughters, Jessica (Stephen) Connick, Marni (Walter) Tutt, and Adrienne (Hugh) Overmyer, one grandson, George Robert (Deidre) Booker. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, Brooks, Sawyer, Clayton, Wallace, Camilla, Caroline, Henry, Sarah, Eva, Mary Martin, and William; and a special niece, Gail Bryson Foukal.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Cecil Williamson officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Memorials may be made to Memorial Methodist Church, 2150 Broad St, Selma, AL 36701; Pilots for Christ, P.O. Box 707, Monroeville, AL 36461, or a charity of choice.
