Eva Barbara Neipling passed away March 8, 2023 at the age of 96. She was born August 2, 1926 to the late Andrew B. Crawford and Willa S. (Taylor) Crawford.
She was preceded by many friends and loved ones in death namely by her sisters, Marion D'Anna, Madeleine Reynolds and Audrey Bee and her husband of 65 years Joseph E. Neipling.
She attended Albion College where she was a member of the Alpha XI Delta Sorority and graduated in 1948. She was a teacher for the Waterford Public School System and at Laurel Montessori in Waterford, Michigan from 1966-1979. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Association and the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac for over 60 years. She moved to Selma, AL in 2020 where she attended Christ the King Church and lived with her daughter Nancy. She moved to Cedar Hill Assisted Living in 2022.
She is survived by many friends and loved ones namely by her children, Nancy A. (Robert) Reed, Daniel A. (Debbie) Neipling and Janice A. Driver; grandchildren, Eric Reed, Evan Reed, Ethan Reed, Emily Slagel, Marina Walsh and Misty Faye Driver Ellis as well as seventeen great-grandchildren.
Services will be held May 4, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac. A gathering of friends at family will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery following her memorial.
