Evans Leroy Weeden

Richmond, VA

Evans Leroy Weeden, 91, of Chester, VA., passed away on April 14, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alain Leroy and Flora Mae Weeden; daughter, Susan Weeden; brother, Bobby and his wife
Audrey Weedon; daughter-in-law, Dee; and sister-in-law, Audrey Weeden.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 14 years, Patricia D. Robey-Weeden; children, Melissa Dougherty (Bob), Richard Weeden, and Robin Turner (Jarrod); four grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Lee Powers; and many other loving family members and friends.

Evans served in the military for 23 years then retired and worked at Lumber Sales Corporation where he retired after many years. He is a member of Powhatan United Methodist Chirch in Powhatan, VA., and an associate member at The First United Methodist Church is Zephyrhills, FL. Evans was an avid musician, and his pastime was playing the guitar and singing with his brother, Bobby.

A service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Casey Church of Christ in Selma with Minister Timothy Richburg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Methodist Church.
