Evelyn Louise Chandler Autrey October 12, 1924 - July 2, 2010
Evelyn Autrey died Friday at her home in Orange Beach, Alabama at the age of 85. Mrs. Autrey was a lifelong resident of Selma, recently moving to Orange Beach in 2008. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Chandler, a brother Tommy Chandler, one grandson Mark Autrey and her daughter-in-law Barbara Autrey.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Haddox J. Autrey, her children Kenneth E. (Pamela) Autrey, Larry W. (Barbara) Autrey, and Linda Garris, her sister Dorothy (Jimmy) Bearden, brother C. Douglas (Pat) Chandler, and her aunt Ruth Newsome. Grandchildren: Mike (Tommy) Autrey, and Grant Garris, Debbie (Danny) Farmer, Valerie Autrey, Kathy (Drew) Nelson, Laurie (Mark) Kittrell, and Morgan Autrey; Thirteen great- grandchildren and eight great- great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was involved in many community and civic activities as well as a lifelong member of Barrett Road United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday July 5, 2010 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home followed by a chapel service at 11:00. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
