Evelyn Nell Parton

Evelyn Nell Creel Parton passed away October 15, 2024 at the age of 90. She was born April 8, 1934 to the late John Andrew Creel and Ila Stone Creel.

On December 8, 1954, she married her husband, Marshall Andrew "Frank" Parton, who preceded her in death in 1964. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Joe Wayne Parton and Hobart Andrew Parton; siblings, Gladys (Edward) Moore, Yvonne (Billie) Roberts, Gerald Creel and Keith (Marie) Creel; brother-in-law, George McKay and great-grandson, Austin McDonald. 

She is survived by her children, Ricky (Nicole) Parton and Alice (John) McDonald; grandchildren, Alma (Brandon) McFarland, Stephanie Parton, Shay (Brent) Stanley, Ashley (Joshua) Broadhead; great-grandchildren, Blazer Burton, Kingston Johnson, Kobe Johnson, Jeffrey Thomas Broadhead and Haleigh McDonald; siblings, Edith McKay, Stewart (Sharon) Creel; sister-in-law, Billie Creel and a host of nieces and nephews

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in Selma.

Pallbearers will be Josh Broadhead, Brandon McFarland, John McDonald, David Johnston, Brent Stanley, Wesley Burton and Brad Burton. Honorary pallbearer will be Blazer Burton.
