Evelyn Pruitt

Evelyn Christine Glover Pruitt went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 20, 2019. Evelyn was born in 1921 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jodie and Ginny Glover of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; husband, James Noland Pruitt; son, Joseph Noland Pruitt and sister, Hazel Cox.

She is survived by her son, James Nathaniel Pruitt and his wife, Iris Ward Pruitt of Orange Beach, Alabama; grandhcildren, Jason Chad Pruitt of Islamorada, Florida and Amanda Pruitt Ray of Auburn, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Stone Pruitt Ray and Sawyer Kane Ray, also of Auburn, Alabama.

Mrs. Pruitt lived in Safford, then in Orrville for many years, most will remember the "Spot Restaurant" in Safford owned by James and Evelyn Pruitt. Mrs. Pruitt was a very gracious lady and had many friends. She will be truly missed.

Funeral services will commence at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Private burial will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.
