Faye Cheshire

Faye McCarty Cheshire passed away on October 11, 2019 at the age of 87. She was born November 23, 1931 to the late John W. McCarty and Hermenia Shannahan McCarty.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cheshire; son, J. Patrick Cheshire; brothers, Jim McCarty and William McCarty.

She is survived by her daughter, Shanon Cheshire Benson; grandson, J. Clayton Benson; granddaughter, Mary Caitlyn Benson and brother-in-law, Glenn W. Cheshire.

She was a caring, loving and supportive mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Selma, Alabama with Father Richard Myhalyk officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Harris Huffman, Jr., Andrew Hardin, Joseph Hagood, III, Tony Bjelke, Vaughn Russell and James Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Garner and John Carchedi.

Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, you may make memorial donations in memory of Faye Chrshire to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrf.org.
