Faye Fluker Henry, born October 3, 1925 in Selma, AL passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in Birmingham where she has been a resident for the past two years. Preceded in death by her parents W. Elmer and Lillian Jenkins Fluker and brother Roy Fluker, she is survived by her husband of sixty seven years Guy Henry and three sons, Jerry Henry (Susan), Tommy Henry (Carol) and Ken Henry. She is also survived by her grandsons, Mike Henry (Jenny), Keith Butler (Sabrina), Rusty Henry (Christi) and David Henry (Mackenzie); five great-grandchildren, a brother Tom Fluker (Juanita) and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Faye worked at Sears for twenty-five years and was very involved in all the programs of Central Baptist Church in Selma, including Sunday school director. After retiring to Gastonburg, she and Guy served in several churches in the area. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Martins in the Pines and New Beacon Hospice of Birmingham for their love and care.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 7 at 11:00 at Gastonburg United Methodist Church with her son Dr. Jerry Henry officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Mike Henry, Keith Butler, Rusty Henry, David Henry, Ralph Mason and Pelham Henry, Jr.
