Felix H. Reeves, 66, returned to his heavenly home on March 30, 2021 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
His work family was inspired by his dedication and work ethic. He took great pride in getting up every morning and going to his job.
He married his best friend, Amanda M. Reeves on June 22, 1991. Felix helped raise their children with patience, discipline, and humility. He is dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate in knowing that he is at peace with his creator.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda M. Reeves, two sons, Skylar Reeves and Anthony Deavers (Torie Hobbie), and a daughter Erin Oglesby (Allen and brother-in-law, Rocky (Wyn) Minor. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Elina Oglesby, Sierra Deavers, Matthew Oglesby, and Jacob Deavers.
A graveside service will take place on April 1, at 1:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama, with Pastor Alan Yarbrough and Pastor David Nichols officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home will be directing.
Pallbearers will be Robert Harper, Jimbo Small, Charles Coulson, Reid McMilion, Josh Wilkerson, and Jack Quigley.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Crosspoint Christian Church in his memory. A GoFundMe page on Facebook has been established, titled Felix Reeves Memorial Fund.
His last breath on Earth was his first breath in Heaven.
