Preceding Mr. Gawne in death were his brother Austin Gawne and sisters Leona Chips and Betty Robison.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Gawne; sons, Jeffery (Emi) Gawne and Steve (Billie Jo) Gawne; daughter, Sheryl (Matthew) Stewart; brother, Melvin Gawne and grandchildren, Leslie (Wayne) Luther, Andrew Stewart, Audrey Gawne, Emilee Gawne, Cody Hibbler, Anaya Gawne and Sana Gawne.
Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Chris Newell officiating. Interment will be in the Orrville cemetery.
