Frances Benson

Frances L. Benson passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the age of 87. Mrs. Benson was born January 21, 1930 to the late, William Byron Henley and Delphia Ruth Williams Henley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth M. Benson; son-in-law, Lonnie Jones; and sisters, Clarice Culp and Ettis Wells.
Mrs. Benson is survived by her children, Sandra Jones, Carolyn (Calvin) Girlie, Fay (Darrel) Siebert, and Cathy (Benny) Carlee; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, and host of friends.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Girlie officiating. Interment will be directly following at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Clanton, AL. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Active Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kenny Girlie, Kevin Jones, Benson Girlie, Corey Smith, Nathan Sansbury, Tyler Smith, Kaleb Jones, and Christian Jones.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from extended family and friends. The family would also like to express sincere gratitude for the care provided by the Administration and Staff of the Lighthouse Rehab and Healthcare Facility.
