Frances Gibbs

Frances P. Gibbs, 81, of Selma, AL passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her husband of 64 years, Henry E. Gibbs Jr.; children, Henry E. Gibbs III (Sheree) of Marion Junction and Gail Lovelady (Randy) of Selma; grandchildren, Fran Bruner (Mike), Ryan Lovelady, Steven Isbell, and Eleanor Mathews (Colby); great grandchildren, Hayden Bruner and Daniel Lovelady; and a sister, Elva Waldrip (Ed) of Birmingham.
Frances was known for her love of others. Through her many years of employment in the Leon's Children's Department and Pink Lady at the Old Vaughn Hospital she came in contact with many people who she remembered and loved. She was especially fond of the children she raised in her home daycare before she began working at Leon's. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and Rev. Ken Blake officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the funeral home.
Active Pallbearers will be Michael Yelverton, William Perkins, Harold Perkins, Donald Perkins, Kenneth Perkins, and Ken Broughton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Northside Baptist Church.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Northside Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
