Frances McGan Strickland, 94, of Selma, died Friday, May 21, 2010. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Father Carroll Plourde officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by her father, Fredrick S. McGan, mother; Lena M. Moran, step-father; John Joseph Moran, husband; Murray M. Strickland, Sr., brother; Clarence D. McGan and daughter; Susan S. Rigsby.
She is survived by her children; Kay S. Tubb (Don) of Houston, Tx., Murray ���Bo��� M. Strickland,Jr.(Ginger) of Waco, Tx. And Shirley S. Friday (Larry) of Selma, Al.
Mrs. Strickland had seven grandchildren; Mark D. Tubb of Columbia, S.C., Kathryn T. Noah (Tony) of Gadsden, Al., Alison Brown of Waco, Tx., Matthew Strickland (Lindsey) of Houston, Tx., Dawson D. Friday (Merrill) of Birmingham, Al., Davis Friday (Jessica) of Nashville, Tn., and Adam C. Friday of Tuscaloosa, Al.; and three great grandchildren; Braden, Blake, and Brody Brown.
