Frances Williamson

Frances Elizabeth Williamson of Selma, Alabama passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the age of 80. She was born December 31, 1940 to the late William Fletcher and Ruthie Lee Tyus.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent her life volunteering for the church. Her life was a testament of her faith in Jesus Christ to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loddie Dave Williamson; son, David Whitfield; daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Hill and brothers, Buddy Fletcher and James Fletcher.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Nicholas (Lydia) Hill, Sarah (Matt) McKee, Jonathan (Amanda) Whitfield, Adam (Erica) Whitfield, Michael (Kristie) Greenhill and Shawn (Brandi) Greenhill; numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Caldwell; brother, Phillip Williams and sister-in-law, Juanita Fletcher.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Artie Plummer officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Whitfield, Bobby Girlie, Carl Smith, Matt McKee and Scott Girlie.
