Frederick Moore McCormick, III

Frederick Moore McCormick, III passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 78. He was born July 16, 1945 to the late Fred McCormick, Jr. and Marguerite Bell McCormick.
 
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margy McCormick Barber.
 
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eady Fuller McCormick; children, Fred M. McCormick, IV and Benjamin Fuller (Jamie) McCormick; three grandchildren, Fred McCormick, V, Mary Jane McCormick and Marley McCormick.
 
Fred graduated from the University of Alabama Law School and practiced law in Selma for over fifty years. He has been active in the Boy Scouts, was a member and past-president of the Selma Rotary Club, and has been a lifelong member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (formerly First Presbyterian Church.)
 
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Burton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Mr. McCormick will be laid to rest at a private family service at Live Oak Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Boy Scouts of America, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity in his memory.
