Gail Jewell

Gail Smith Jewell, 74, formerly of Selma, Al. passed away at her home in Foley, AL. on August 20, 2010. She was born on April 21, 1936 in Selma, AL. She was the daugher of the late Emmie G. Smith and Charles Smith of Selma, AL. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Foley, AL. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Jewell and her husband Jacob L. Jewell. Mrs. Jewell is survived by her two sons, Gregory L. Jewell of Irondale, AL. and Christopher H. Jewell and wife Sally U. Jewell of Gulf Breeze, FL., two stepgrandchildren Stacey Ann Sylvester of Gulf Breeze, FL and Katie Lee Sylvester USN. She is also survived by her sister Lynda S. Brown of Selma, AL, a niece Kelly Seale Payant and her husband Andrew Scott Payant and two grandnieces Kathryn Blair Seale and Mallory Peyton Seale of Pelham, AL, a brother-in-law Jerry Jewell and wife Mildred Jewell of Orrville, AL, a nephew Eric Jewell of Foley, AL and niece Chandelle J. Westbrook and husband John Westbrook and son John J. Westbrook of Marion Jct., AL. Pallbearers will be Andy Payant, Billy Speed, Dick Boozer, Robert Tate, John Westbrook and John J. Westbrook. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Peggy Coffee's Sunday School class of First Baptist Chruch of Selma, AL. Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown Funeral Home in Selma, AL on Monday 23, 2010 from 1:30 to 2:30 followed by a graveside service at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL.
