Geneva Sharpe

Geneva Sharpe (Dear), who is known to the greater Selma community as "Sugar Foot" passed away on January 18, 2013, at the age of 87. She was a member of Everdale Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama. She is survived by her nine children, Melvin Sharpe, Tommie (Priscilla) Frazier, Leroy (Belzora) Sharpe, Joseph (Cheryl) Sharpe, Ernest (Ryoko) Sharpe, Nathaniel (Janice) Sharpe, Cheryl Sharpe - (Interlink Drug Company), Lula (Reginald) Sharpe-Chancellor and Eddie (Wanda) Sharpe; two brothers, Melvin (Mary) Sharpe and George Sharpe; sister-in-law, Levonia Sharpe; twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel, 5171 Alabama Highway 22, Valley Grande, Alabama 36701 with Rev. Michael Dillard officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens under the direction of Selma Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
