George Albert Hayes, Sr. passed away February 11, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born December 22, 1939 to the late Albert Elmer Hayes and Clara Louise Shand Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Violet Faye "Polly" (John Robert) Moseley; brother-in-law, Mark Willie.
He is survived by his children, Sonja (William) Jordan and George (Tina) Hayes, Jr.; grandchildren, Melody Jordan (Aaron Dickerson), Jessica (Skip) Curtis, Ashley (Jamie) Eiland, Taylor (Brandon) Sumlin, Cory (Taylor) Hayes; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Willie and Charles (Sue) Hayes
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma.
