Gerald Creel

Gerald R. Creel, age 84, of Selma, AL, passed away December 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ila Creel; brother, Keith Creel and brothers-in-law, Edward Moore, Frank Parton and Billy Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Billie J. Creel; sons, Gerald Douglas (Beth) Creel and John Alan (Gretchen) Creel; daughter, Dr. Mary Barrow and husband, Dr. Rene Antonio Llera, Jr.;Former daughter-in-law,Elizabeth Creel; brother, Stewart (Sharon) Creel; sister, Edith (George) McKay,Gladys Moore,Evelyn Parton and Yvonne Roberts; sister-in-law, Marie Creel; grandchildren, Michael John Creel, Jessica Marie Barrow, Suzanne Renee (Court) Clement, Lauren (Michael) Turner and Leigh Ann Creel and great-grandchildren, Quinn Clement and Piper Clement. Funeral services will be Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Horton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be the deacons at Elkdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Pisgah Baptist Church.
