Geraldine Bearden Posey

Geraldine Bearden Posey of Valley Grande, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at the age of 92.

She was born in Bibb County, Alabama on May 22, 1930 to the late Ovin Bearden and the late Beadie Ann Waldrop Bearden.

Geraldine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to all that knew her.

She is survived by her children, Aubrey Posey (Jean), Norma Day (James), Sandra Barrett (Jimmy) Wanda Dixon (Keith), and Bruce Posey (Bertha); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Posey; and siblings, Flossie Hayes, Gladys Fuller, Nolan "Bud" Bearden, Max G. Bearden, and Morton Bearden.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Mike Wyatt officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Day, Kenny Day, Stephen Posey, Will Posey, Ronald Mitchell, and Noah Henson.

There will be no visitation, everyone please meet at the cemetery.
