Gilbert Maroney

Gilbert Henry Maroney, age 87, of Selma, AL, passed away March 1, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-nine years, Dolores Ross Maroney; parents, Allen Richard and Ivy Bell Hutto Maroney, and five brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, G. Ross (Sarah Joyce) Maroney, Linda (Bruce) Hatch, Kathy (Jack) Quigley and David (Cathy Jo) Maroney; brothers, Derrell Maroney, Joe Maroney and Rex Maroney; sister, Cleo Maroney; ten grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Selma Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with his son, Rev. G. Ross Maroney, Sr. and Rev. Bill Best officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, March 2, 2012 at 5-7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Oscar Pettway, Michael Freeman, Keith Maroney, Benjamin Hatch, Zackery Hatch and Tony Hatch.
