Gladys Moore

Gladys Smith Moore, age 80, of Selma, AL, passed away June 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam W. Smith, Sr.; parents, Riley and Lula Mae Benson; son, Ed Smith; brother, Dan Benson and sister, Bonnie Hill. Surviving are her children, Mike (Betty) Smith, Ted (Deborah) Smith, Sam W. Smith, Jr., Betty Headley and Jerry (Lisa) Smith; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins that were very special to Mrs. Gladys. Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rod Rochester and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10-11:00 a.m. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to United Methodist Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Montgomery, AL 36106.
