Glenn Lewellen

Glenn Lewellen, age 47, of Orange Beach, AL, passed away after a lengthy illness Friday July 22, 2011. Glenn served twelve years with the Selma Fire Department and four years with the Selma Police Department before becoming a Police Officer in Orange Beach, Alabama. He retired from the Orange Beach Police Department after serving nine years.
Glenn was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sally and JC Lewellen; maternal grandparents, Willie and Guretta Helms and Paternal grandparents, Adele Cooper and Rans Lewellen. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Lewellen of Orange Beach; sons, Glenn Lewellen, Jr. (Samantha) of Foley, AL and Andrew Lewellen of Orange Beach and his brother, Curtis Lewellen (Carrie) of Valley Grande, grandfather, A.E. Cooper; special nieces Pam Woods and Stacie Wells and a special nephew,Curtis Lewellen Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles and special friends of the Orange Beach Police Department. A memorial service will be heald at 5:00 p.m. Saturday July 30, 2011 at Orange Beach Community Center. A memorial service will also be held at Northside Baptist Church on Tuesday August 2, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Wiregrass Hospice, 700 Interstate Park Dr., Suite 705 Montgomery, AL 36109.
