Gordon George Thompson, age 82, of Selma, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Gordon was born in Bad Axe, MI. on June 24, 1934. He retired from the Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. He also was a member of Westend Baptist Church; a member of the Lions club; and a member of the American Legion where he was a past Post Commander and the Chaplin.
He is preceded by his wife: Sally Thompson; parents: George Thompson and June Thompson Byraski; and brother: Virgil Thompson.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his daughter: Joyce Carroll (Dean) of Waterford, MI; step children: Linda Nickles (Dock) of Pike Road; Libby Brown of Manchester, TN; Fran Moon (Jerry) of Tuscaloosa; Mike Brown of Montgomery; brother in law: Phillip Chantz of Philadelphia, PA;
10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Chapel services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 28, 2016 at Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral Home with Rev. James Duke officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Scott Little, Jeffrey Nickles, Jason Nickles, S.Sgt. David Craze, Austin Little, Garrett Welch, and Bradford Nickles.
