Grace Jean Collins passed away June 20, 2021 at the age of 86. She was born July 4, 1934 to the late Robert Lee Williams and Vera Loraine Mitchell Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton E. Collins; sisters, Clara Mascarella, Louise Roberts and Carol Clark and brothers, Cecil Williams and Charles Williams.
She is survived by her children, Sheila (Denis) Carrigan, Tommy Coates, Vera (Ken) Lohiser, Gwen (Allen) Jatko, Eugene Skinner, Darline Skinner and William (Kim) Skinner; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great-great grandchildren; brother, James (Dotty) Williams and very special friend, Kathi Locke.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 28th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 29th at 12:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Sprott.
Pallbearers will be Justin Blackmon, Adam Blackmon, Shane Skinner, Hunter Skinner, Brandon Skinner and Joseph McEwen.
Starting reference point for directions is Sprott, Alabama at the intersection of Alabama Highway 14 and Alabama Highway 183. At this intersection, PROCEED NORTHEAST on Alabama Highway 183 for approximately 5.5 miles to the intersection with County Rd. 51. (Note: This portion of the highway is Al. Hwy 183 only, and not shared in common with Ala. Hwy 14.) TURN LEFT (North) onto County Rd. 51 and continue north for 2.0 miles to the cemetery turn-off point. TURN LEFT (half left) onto the upper dirt road leading up to Mt. Olive Cemetery -- about 0.1 miles on the upper road. Note: Road continues another 0.1 mile past the old Church and rejoins County Road 51.
