Guy Smith

Guy Frederick ���Fred��� Smith, Jr., age 66, of Burkville, died Thursday June 2, 2011 at his home. Mr. Smith graduated from Troy State University at the age of 59 and was a member of the Fleta Lodge #223, Alcazar Shriners, Scottish Rite Valley of Montgomery, a 33�� Mason and Montgomery Harley Owners Group ���H.O.G���. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Frederick Smith, Sr. and Stella Leona Smith; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Smith Pullam; stepmother, Clarabel Andrews Smith and his sister, Stella Smith (Robert). Survivors include his wife Mary Elizabeth Wilson Smith of Burkville, AL; son, Michael Christopher Smith (Shannon) of Birmingham; daughters, Jennifer Ann Stasiak (Ed) of Dothan, Mary Carolyn Syslo (Greg) of Mobile; nieces, Ruth Brock (John), Cindy King (Frank); nephew, Robert Smith, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday June 6, 2011 at Burkville Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Turner officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing and burial following in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday June 5, from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Reggie McNamee, Allen Davis, Frank Driskell, Thomas Dagostin, Richard Stocks and Leonard Ingram.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Burkville Memorial United Methodist Church or Shriner���s Children Hospital.
