Mr. Hubert Ray Champion, Jr. of Jones passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.
He was the former owner of the Crystal Ice House and served as a Dallas County Sheriff's Deputy. For the last 12 years he and his wife Kathy raised Golden Retrievers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Ray Champion, Sr. and Margaret Wood Champion.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Champion; children, Randy Champion, Hubert Ray Champion, III (Pam), Paul Champion (Amy), Christopher Champion (Megan), and Cliff Miller (Rain); 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Rick Champion (Wanda)
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Jones Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Whitehead officiating and Selma Funeral Home officiating.
Interment will follow in the Milton Baptist Church Cemetery in Jones.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
