Harmon David Lassiter Sr. age 73, of Selma, passed away January 28, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Joyce E. Lassiter; children: Gail (Frank) Hobson, David (Brenda) Lassiter, Jr., Rena Lassiter; brothers: Lewis (Sue) Lassiter, Edgar (Alice) Lassiter; sisters; Mary Jane Stevens, Edna Hodgens; grandchildren: Jill (Jake) Averette, Boone (Leslie) Hobson, Katie Hobson, Gabriel Hobson, Amber Lovett, Lacy Lovett, Ashley (Tim) Skelton, Nelson Lassiter, Patrick Lassiter; great grandchildren: Shiiann and Evan Williams, Sophia and Sydney Lovett, Shawn and Shane Skelton, Kloe Hobson, Annabelle Lassiter, Jace Hobson and a very special cousin: Rosetta "Sister" Nichols.
He is preceded in death by his father: Joseph E. Lassiter,Sr., and mother: Janie Pugh Lassiter; brothers; Jack Lassiter, Joseph E. Lassiter, Jr., Newton Lassiter; sisters: Olma Champion and Arada Wilson.
He was a tire man for over forty years and enjoyed playing his guitar and singing old gospel music and loved his family.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Pine Hill, AL.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Boone Hobson, Nelson Lassiter, Patrick Lassiter, Michael Lassiter, Danny Lassiter and Bobby Harold Lassiter.
Honorary will be: Gordon Stoudenmire, Gene Girlie and Harry Pugh.
