Harris Huffman Sr

Harris H. "Sparky Huffman, Sr. passed away February 9, 2016 at the age of 84. He was born July 13, 1931 to the late Frank Eugene Huffman, Sr. and Elsie Mae Turner Huffman.
He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Ray Huffman; brothers, Frank Eugene Huffman, Jr. and his mother and father.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, JoAnn Huffman; son, Harris H. (Leah) Huffman, Jr.; daughters, Kathy Smitherman, Karen Watters and Kim (Robert) Edwards; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Walter "Butch" Huffman; sisters, Minnie Ruth Smith and Faye Marie Holcomb and faithful companion, Buck.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Noah Reid officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Randy Pugh, John Hatfield, Mike Grantham, Jimmy Caffey, Barry Hood and Calvin Edwards. Honorary pallbearers are The Dallas County Sherriff's Department, The Downtowner Breakfast Group, Cecil Strickland and Jeff Fancher.
