Harvey Glenn Holley, Jr., 92, of Selma, Alabama passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 19, 2016. Harvey was born December 16, 1924, in Wilcox County, Alabama to the late Harvey and Maude Holley. He was the youngest of two children.
Harvey was an Army Veteran from World War II. He had a long career in base supply at Craig Air Force Base in Selma, Alabama. He loved to hunt and fish with his son and grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ruth Holley and his parents, Harvey and Maude Holley.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily Holley (Duke) Heflin; son, Glenn “Bubba” (Claudette) Holley; daughter, Cindy Holley Welch; sister, Frances Holley Smith; grandchildren, Tim (Kristian) Kirchner, Kelly Sharpe, Bubba (Andrea) Holley, Christy (Chad) McDonald, Patricia (James) Pickel and Carrie (Wes) Holmes and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him very much.
Pallbearers will be Tim Kirchner, Bubba Holley, Ethan Duncan, Chad McDonald, Lee Robertson and Billy Moore.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
