Hazel Hilyer Garner died at home on April 22, 2009. She was born October 14, 1931. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Mae D. Hilyer. She is survived by her brother, Curtis (Helen) Hilyer, of Mobile; her son, Mike (Alexia) Garner of Valley Grande; and her grandchildren, Erin Garner of Rome, GA, Jason (Anna) Garner of Birmingham, Lydia (Justin) Smith of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; Anna Garner and Lindsay Brault-Garner of Valley Grande. Hazel was an active member of First Baptist Church. She was a Pink Lady at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Hazel was loved by many and known for her caring spirit, her eternal optimism and her servant���s heart. Graveside services will be held Friday April 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Reverend Lee Tate officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday April 23, 2009 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
