Long-time Selma resident, Helen R. Carter passed away February 12, 2017 at the age of 85 surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1931 to the late Troy and Lucile Black.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Carter; son, Troy L. Carter; her parents and her brothers, Roger Black and Gerald Black.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Wong; son, Jeff (Donna) Carter; brothers, Bobby (Marilyn) Black, Wayne (Martha) Black, Randy (Diana) Black and Tim (Dolly) Black; grandchildren, Jason (Andrea) Wong, Bradley Wong, Scott Carter, Stephanie (Scott) Girlie and Eric (Savannah) Carter and great-grandsons, Landon Girlie, Ethan Girlie and Grayson Girlie.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Eric Carter officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00-12:45 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Randall Greene, Jerry Greene, Terry Greene, Bradley Wong and Landon Girlie..
