Helen Spears

Helen Spears, age 78, of Selma, AL, passed away September 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Ray Spears; parents, Floyd and Beulah Caldwell; brother, James Charles Caldwell; and sisters, Willie Marsh, Clora Ward and Mae Lawson. Surviving are her children, Lynn (James) Seale, Bobby (Tricia) Spears and Floyd Spears; sisters, Janie Rimer, Irene Hawkins, Virginia Fields and Linda Sloan; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders, Brandi Spears, Chelsea Brooks, Shayne Spears, Michelle Spears and Jordan Spears, and great-grandchildren, Whitt Lester, Mary Calyn Lester, Hannah Lester, Meredith Brooks and Henry Brooks. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Grindle officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Gary Price, Doty Price, Wes Abel, Chris Chappelle, Russell Martin and Jody Ruder. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Selmont Church of Christ, 3101 Old Montgomery Road, Selma, AL, 36701.
