Henrietta Alison Boykin, 95, of Huntsville passed away Sunday. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Reynolds and Mary Youngblood Alison, her husband, Claude C. Boykin, Jr., brother, Lockwood Alison, and sisters, Evelyn Alison and Mary Beeckman Alison.
Mrs. Boykin graduated from API (Auburn University) in 1947. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity, Episcopal, Mission Guild, charter member of the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Huntsville Gem and Mineral Society, Senior Circle at Crestwood Hospital and Senior Horizons at Huntsville Hospital.
Survivors include daughter, Catherine A. Boykin; and nieces, Ellen A. Rutherford (Jeffrey) and Charlotte L. Alison.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 16 at Church of the Nativity, Episcopal. The funeral service will follow at the church with Father Michael Goldsmith officiating and Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Carlowville, Alabama with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
