Horace N. Askew age 71 of Jemison passed away on Wednesday May 5, 2010 at Shelby Baptist Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 1 with Rev. Lynn Roe, Rev. J. Aaron Ellison and Rev. Allen Foster officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Askew is survived by his companion, Kimberly Askew of Jemison, his daughters, Kathy Pennington of Maplesville, Keela (Tim) Mims of Maplesville, his sons, David (Debbie) Askew of Clanton, Joey (Rena���) Ratliff of Birmingham, his sisters, Hazel Northcutt of Jemison, Lois Askew of Jemison, a brother, Tommy Askew of Georgia and 5 grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers or food. Please make donations to Providence Baptist Church No. 1 and the Chilton County Humane Society.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
