Huey Smith

Huey Franklin Smith, age 86, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010. He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Marguerite Smith; son, Wayne (Brenda) Smith; daughter, Louise (John) Morgan; brothers, Sam Smith and J.C. Smith; sister, Velma Lester; grandchildren, Renee (Earl) Alsobrook, Casey Ann (Bryan) Proctor, Kim Brannon and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Selma Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Valley Grande Baptist Church with Rev. Clarke Skelton officiating. Interment will be in the Green Pond Presbyterian Church cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Smith, Alex Smith, Earl Alsobrook, Douglas Scott, Robert Smith and Mike Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Canterbury, Will Langston and the Sunday School Class of James Bearden at Valley Grande Baptist Church.
