Irene Burkhalter

Irene "Granny" Burkhalter, age 86, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away December 9, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Burkhalter; son, James P. Fluker, and brothers, Melvin Earley, Vernon Earley and Virgil Earley. Surviving are her children, Peggy B. (David) Etheridge and Elaine B. (Kenny) Lovelady; daughter-in-law, Sandi Fluker; grandchildren Scott (Melanie) Etheridge, Ashley E. (Daniel) Roberts, Logan (Jessica) Lovelady and Cody Lovelady, and great-grandchildren, Shane Parten, Alex (Megan) Parten, Kayleigh Etheridge, Colton Roberts, Jonathan Etheridge, Brody Roberts and Liam Lovelady. Funeral services will be Monday, December 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Waters Worship Center with Rev. Ed Wilson, Rev. Buddy Salsman and Rev. Matt Klimis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 2-4:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Living Waters Worship Center.
