Iris Andrews

Iris Andrews, age 80, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away November 29, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. Andrews; infant daughter, Angela; sister, Kathlene Casey and parents, Lake and Angeline Collier. She is survived by her son, David (Connie) Andrews; daughters, Carolyn (Dannie) Mantel and Brenda (Lane) Harris; grandchildren, Jeff Andrews, Michael (Amanda) Andrews, Charles (Kelly) Warren; Dana Mantel (Howard) Cobb; Sam Mantel, Matthew (Shannon) Harris and Austin (Haley) Harris; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Ben Collier and Alton Collier; sister, Irene Chisholm and a multitude of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, December 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Horton officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9-10:00 a.m. Interment will be Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Mary Belle Baptist Church Cemetery in Live Oak, FL. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Andrews was a loving, generous person and an active member of Elkdale Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Elkdale Baptist Church Building Fund, 2221 Elkdale Street, Selma, AL, 36701.
